ensure that the 'indicator cancel lever' has the stubb fitted in the 'B' apature, once clipped together, refit spring on the indicator cancel lever, refit the spring loaded peg, making sure the groove on the peg is facing the side with the plastic clip on, test operation using the table below, refit spider with the captive nuts,

Did you spray the contacts with Servisol or anything to stop them corroding before putting it al back together? Tricky job well done. Very Happy

no, i didnt introduce anything new, i cleaned the tips with a nail file until the mating surfaces were smooth and clean, then i wiped abit of the grease (that was already in there) around the tip,

i thought id take some pictures (sorry they arent the best in the world! and that i didnt do the indicators) while i did it, but it didnt solve the problem of my dip beam not working, ill have another look tomorrow, some one i was speaking to assured me that it had no relays and that it was all switch through the switch (which was obviously not the case because there was only a single feed which split into the different componenent when we know each component is fed from a different fuse) ill follow the cables tomorrow and try and find the relay box,

Luke

Nice write-up, cheers. I love it when other people take the plunge first Wink

On a side note, would it possible to adapt the Jap unit to fit? Or is it totally TOTALLY different? It's got to be better than los indicatros de Espana.

no, jap units have the indicators on the right hand switch gear rather than the left (so you would have to convert both stalks) i dont know if the plug connections are the same, but i suppose if you used a japanese loom plug, you could lace the cables accross,

i found the real fault of my lights not working it turns out a connection was burning up on the fuse box, (pics included) what are the standard wattage of ordinary sj headlights? its got 80w/100 fitted presently and i think it could have caused this,

Notice the discolouring of the pcb,

Luke

My 410 has 40/45w. My 413 has 55/60w, but i don't know if they're standard or not on the 413.
