Can you try the question in English?

I'm guessing you have been offered an mpi with duff gearbox??

Not sure what gearbox the Mpi's ran. I would guess an LT77 but couldn't be sure. It would be odd for Land Rover to use a different box just for that engine, usually they just fit a differently geared Transfer box, hence the various one's in 90's and 110's.

Mpi's usually are mint as they were unpopular and never done any hard work as they haven't the power.

When you say offered are they wanting you to part with ££?

I think its a 77s, as I had a MOi Disco once. Good on the road, not good off the road.

Only the one from a MPi will fit.

They did list one on the Ashcrofts site.

What year or model shape is it? (200 or 300 type).

They may have changed the gearbox between types as they did with the v8 and diesel.

I have lying in my garage an mpi LT77 taken out of an MPi that my neighbour was slowly re engining with a tdi. As far as I know the box is good, the front end is totally different to a tdi as the primary shaft is very long and has a tiny spigot bearing end. That's whi t didn't fit the tdi.

Where are you ?

The gearbox is in the garage her in Cumbria, yours cheap if you want it.

Didn't think they made any 300 Mpi's due to it's poor sales as a 200. Could be wrong though.
