Why do you need a skinny starter motor when putting a 1.6Vit engine into a SJ413?
Is there nothing i could attack with a Dremel?!

it can be done with the SPAM starter, you just need to give the block and the side of the starter where it hits a bit of a 'tickle' with the grinder.
there were some pics on here once upon a time of where to grind but im buggard if i can remember where it was!
Joel.

ok, so i used one of these to grind the block away, just a little at a time as you don't want to take too much off. Just go steady and more sure your taking it off from the right place. ALso cover any gaps to stop ali dust getting everywhere
I kept putting the starter in until i could rock it back slightly leaving a gap at the front so i knew i had a bit of clearance
The finished result looked like this. The shiny bits are the bits i scraped away
And built up with the adaptor plate
Hope that helps
