Extra Heating around Europe??? Out of interest where are you going?

Last year I had to spend a few nights up in the Spanish mountains over Christmas... That was COLD. So cold that we migrated from the roof tent (complete with 4 season sleeping bags, hats and ski-wear into the car. I found the best thing for instant de-frosting your bits was the heated seats. Because they are electric you dont need to wait half an hour for the engine to get upto temp.

With regard to aftermarket heaters though, eberspacher.

Webasto / eberspracher

Ideal is water heating plumbed into car water-ways - that way You can also warm up the engine before starting. But expensive, big and not so simple to plumb in. Seen even some radiators for inside of the car to work with this system.

I build ambulances for a living.

We fit 99% of them with Eberspacher D4 Airtonic's.
Thats a couple of hundred a year. Maybe 2 faults on commissioning a year and not really any probs during the warranty period.

1 ambulance trust we are building for are having to stick with Webasto 3500's due to workshops tacit knowledge and existing spares stock.
So far on this contract 11 commissioned, 7 faults.

Ok, so once commissioned they seem to run as well as the Eberspachers but that is a high failure rate for commissiong probs!

I know what I'm fitting in my camper!
