cadiz4x4

I have OMT on my list of favourites and they have a very good reputation in Europe. I had forgotten about them.

Flying Spanners & Jez is the one who I was trying to recall in context with Portal Tek. I am sure that he will be very helpful.

OMT - yes he said about 6 months ago he was making some shaft's but -
Marc from there mailed me back yesterday with sorry still nothing.

Portal-tec - they don't make shafts -

With tyres like Jez has got - he will need all his spare shafts

I don't need these for myself as i sold my portals a couple of weeks ago - but i have many friends in Scandinavia who keep busting these shafts and they are getting very hard to find -
so this was just to find out if someone out there was making them or had some secondhand.

But thanks to all - its good to share new info

Portal tek - yes they make shafts... they need them for thier axles (but not thier not Volvo sized!)

OMT - god knows

Jez - yes, he has funky shafts, never breaks them (but then he does use a wheezy yank motor and 40x18s Laughing )

Yes I can get them and yes I can do them in "good stuff"

He has found a shaft now from Sweden - £190 for one secondhand.

Hi Cadiz - Paul got his shaft from a friend in Sweden but i don't think he is selling anymore - but you could ask Paul.

My air lockers worked good and it was worth doing - this guy on pirate has just done the same conversion and as usual he thinks he was the first Rolling Eyes
The guys in Finland done this conversion at least 3 or 4 years back.

Will have a look in our store , I know we have new crown wheel
and pinions , and think I saw some shafts ; but might have slight
surface rust . Nice donation to Venturers Search and Rescue
might get them.

Phone me Monday evening 02380891280 " Tiffy "
