Has anyone else had horrible luck with the stock mog fuel system? My carb has just crapped out on me AGAIN. 3 rebuilds and I still have **** luck with it. I have boiled out the tank, replaced every inch of fuel line, went to an electric fuel pump, and still if the slightest grain of anything touches one of those miniscule fuel jets, it shuts me down. So.............this weekend I believe I will be converting to LPG. Has anyone else gone down this route with their Mog? Thoughts? Ideas?

cheers,
Dan

A friend runs his 2450 mog on propane and he seems happy with that.

Is it legal to run a propane bottle on the road, or does it have to be a proper tank?
Just thinking it would be easier to fetch a bottle of gas in the Landy than make a special journey out to the LPG station 13 miles round trip in the Mog.

I have a gas conversion kit for mine - having just sorted the engine I'm not brave enough to fit it yet...

I got lucky and found a 200 liter tank that isn't being used and got it for free! That was also a big nudge in the direction for converting. I should be good to go for a nice long trip in the mog then. Southampton to John O'Groats in a Mog anyone?

I am off for Cambridge now to go pick up my kit.

Scotland?
That's a brave bid!
I did Seven Sisters in Wales a couple of months ago, that was long enough at about 180 miles, and that was in a higher geared U1000!
