It all depends on where your going and for how long.
If your considering oils and brake pads/shoes I suspect your going away for a long while or somewhere completely isolated. Dont forget to greese the UJs as well!
I know others carry an alternator as well.
Let us know where you plan to go and for how long.

Here's a list of spares I carried on my three trips to Southern Africa.
HTH

First trips were about three months. The third on six months.
If you carry a head gasket. Carry two head dowells as well.

It may be worth your while to consider taking a timing belt as well.

I have my timing belt changed a couple of months before I go on a trip. Even so I still carry a new timing belt and a Serpentine belt. I also carry the Difflock timing tool set.
You could also visit your local Dealer. Ask the stores manager if you can have stuff on loan. You might have to pay for that up front. Then get your money back when you return.

one of the first things on my list was an alternator. i know they dont often break, but when they do, they can ruin everything.
another thing that i have problems with is MAF's, so im thinking of taking one of them as spare. although, if it breaks it wont render the car useless, but it will kill the cars performance.
ive also got a radiator cap on my list. have you also considered taking some radweld? my mate also blew his expansion bottle on his 200tdi the otherday, i think it was a problem with his radiator but it might be something you consider

I think mmgemini's advice is very useful. Have as much as you can done just before you depart, but not the day before as even new things can go wrong.
Do a full lubricant change for the whole vehicle (engine, transmission, axles, antifreeze, brake and clutch fluid) and look at wheel bearings and UJs too (they're pretty cheap and easier to fit while you're at home)
Also a lot of problems arise not because of lack of parts but lack of tools. Pretty much anything can be made to fit or you can find suitable alternatives off other vehicles but if you don't have the tools you're stuck.
I'd only take enough lubes for the first oil change but do it early, after 5,000 miles then buy a local equivalent. Standard retail oil packaging is NOT designed to be thrown about in a vehicle, we've had them split just sitting on the shelf in a warehouse! I use the Oilsafe tubs (sorry if it seems like I'm selling our own stuff but it IS the best) which are indestructable and can be re-filled with local lubes.
I've always been puzzled by the alternator issue. I've only ever had to fit one in 25 years of car ownership but some people seem to get through them rapidly?
Having said all that, your country list is pretty safe, there are existing LR dealerships in all those countries and you can get breakdown cover too as they're all in the EU.

We had our alternator on the 101 seize about 20 miles from Bristol docks as we were picking it up having shipped it back from ZA. That was a 20year old new old stock one that had seen the truck through in the UK and all the way to Capetown. For the country list you're planning on they should be an off the shelf spare pretty much anywhere.
On a different note, ie not pares related, check the requirements for driving in teh countries you intend travelling through. Some require you carry 2 sets of spare bulbs, other that you need 2 warning triangles, or a high-vis vest etc.

what time of year are you planing on going? Most of Italy shuts down during August and remember that older models of LR are not as popular in most of the countries on your list so parts are NOT kept on the shelves but have to be ordered in and can take up to a week to arrive if you are really unlucky.

I'll just add to warning triangles.
Some countries require three. Some countries require refective pieces on BOTH sides of the triangle.
Alternator.
Either get the alternator with the correct size pulley fitted and the mounting holes the correct size and in the correct place. . Or make sure you can change the pulley.
Drilling threads out on an alternator bracket with an old B&D drill using a wodd bit is not fun.

People cobbling together a so called split charge kit off the back of them is one way to kill 'em. I guess bad luck and floating them in muddy gloop are other contributing factors.

I remember going into my auto electrician with my Range Rover. Alternator playing up.
"With these things yoiu're lucky if they last twelve months" I was told when I said he'd changed that bit last year.... "cheap and nasty stuff these days" were his remarks.
This 100Amp one I've got fitted takes the Gee every so often and not putting the warning light out. It still works perfectly otherwise.
Anoter thing. A Discovery, and other, 100Amp alternators give power to the warning light. Not take it to make the light come on. Or is it the other way., I was told just the other week that those alternators work the warning light differently. No you can not tell by looking.

Most of these are readily available from every petrol station in Europe and as mentioned above LR dealerships are common too. Also garages are very helpfull and much cheaper. And most important thing - many parts from different makes are surprisingly compatible - don't ask how I know If something happens just take the part out and point - they will soon find something very similar ....
