Paul nothing wrong with except Its solid at room temperature !
Makes great biodiesel though. Heat it , transesterify and your done.
If you can find a way to preheat the solid and keep it @ 60 deg c till it gets to the injectors it will be okay
otherwise best left.
If it happens to be soy blend it fine
Liquid is the way to tell.

I think you're thinking of Palm oil there T.
Soya is liquid (the cheap KTC Boxes of oil are GM Modified Soya)
The problem with Soya is it has a habit of polymerising at relatively low temperatures, ie about 200*c just about the temperature of the injector nozzle in a Direct Injection egine - it can gum up injectors fairly quickly on certain engines.
IDI engines with Pintle injectors are much more resiliant.

it's definitely a liquid, i already had 20 litres of it in the tank before realising it was soya
my engine is a freight rover (basically same as defender) 2.5 NA engine so not direct injection does this help?
oh and it has twin tanks with a flat plate heat exchanger fitted
is there any way of reducing the chances of gumming the injectors i.e. mixing with diesel/rape seed/sunflower or petrol instead of using it neat?

You should be pretty good with it in an IDI engine like yours, Especially as you have done the job properly and have a twin tank kit.
I know of people running it in a DI engine with no issues..... But the proper advice is not to.
