What re treads are available in 33/12.50/15s . My next project is an spoa suzuki sammy and I want 33s . There seems to be very little in that size . I have 31s kumhos at the moment ( KL71s) which are good but I fancied something different and really aggressive . It will be 95% off road use

get some 16" rims and buy some of these mate:-
33.12.50.16
MACHO
£62
(sorry )
seriously though, can you stretch to a 34" tyre under a zook? If so - then you can get simex jungle trekkers in 34*10.5*15
that would trade off the extra diameter with smaller width to make the steering lock approx the same on the same wheels, but give a possibly better footprint in the mud and BIGGER rubber.
Or if 33 is the biggest you can go, find some 16" wheels and go for the 33*10.5*16 jungle trekkers.
In some circles they reckon the jungle trekker is better than the ET and ET2 - but its just a shame the biggest size is 34" which aint enough for the challenge event boys.
when i did muddy truckers last year and year before - the jimny and vitara boys used em. very impressive!

Grizzlys come in 33s but I am not paying that for a retread , I also here to many bad reports about bronco tyres . Although Bronco rough riders seem to be ok but not aggressive enough ( I say rough riders as I have experience of them ) . The negative stuff I have heard about Bronco which may or may not be true has turned me off them . Insa do a simex copy and it does look like I may have to go for 16" rims . If I can get 16s other than GV rims (which I can't stand ) I would jump at them . I don't have to have 12.50s in fact IMO 10.50s are more than wide enough for a zuke but I do want extra height . TG UK Have been really helpful and so far the best on price . The chap there is going to come back to me with a price on the insa simex copy . Will let you know .
Failing that I could get machos they do a 33

It is very very hard to get the 33/12/50/15's from Colway.
The last time Colway had some in stock(only had 4) was about a year ago.
Its all down to the casings mate.

As Mark Sowden says it's down to casings being available, if there is none then nothing can be remoulded. It might pay to look at cheap new not unless somebody can offer you a delivery date for remoulds (or not!!).

the problem with the new tyres is that they arent available in an agressive tread pattern or for the similar price.

That's it Mike , I like my Kumhos and when everything is factord in would definately prefer them over BFGs and goodyears etc but they are still a middle of the range mud terrain . Trial ades are available in 15s but not 33s bt TGUK do a trial that is similar to what yo have Mike in a 33 only . Insa turbo STs are only available in large sizes (like 33s) for 16" rims which is looking like what I'll have to do but I really don't like GV rims . so it is looking like I might have to have some rims made up . By the way these insa turbo special track are the best price ones I found anywhere http://www.paddockspares.com/sp/category/WHEELS...pecial_Track.html
I could still go for diamonds or chacos or anacondas which I do like the look but it will have to be in 16s . Or failing that just go for 33" kumhos which haven't let me down yet as the price for the is FANTASTIC and wait for a few months as the manufactureres will pull there finger out .. My head hurts now

i'll let you know how i get on with my 33" grizzlers, the only draw back so far is on side slopes you tend to float and slide off down to the bottom of the hill. not sure if it was any worse than my 31"s but they are definitely great in ruts.
this is my 4th set of claws and i have had no problems whatsoever with the quality of the tyres - couple of my mates have had a few sets also with no bother.
the guys that mold the retreads for bronco went into administration and so they've got someone else doing them now - my 33"s where supposedly the first set off the press so the quality remains to be seen.
one things for sure and that is they took a long time to get after i'd ordered them and the customer service could of been a lot better. when they finally turned up there was only 3 of them and the 4th showed up days later. plus they wouldn't give me any grace on the price of a spare after keeping me hanging on for months on end.
now they're on the sj i think all the hassle will soon be forgotten
those machos look like a *cough* good alternative though eh? i'm sure there's quite a few people around here that would love to see you turn up on a set of those stu

I'm sure , I can get them in 33s but the tyres I have now are in a similar performance braket (midrange MT) but IMO the kumhos have the edge and definetely better on rocks ( they were awsome on a certain waterfall at an un named farm in wales gripped even better then Kaimons as they have a tread that is a little to open for rock ) (for the record I do tink simex and copies are awsome before anyone gets their undercrackers in a twist) . The fact that I can get 5 kumhos 33s for not a lot more than the same size machos or most retreads for that matter says it all . If I could get 33" re treads in 15" and an aggressive enough tread I would . I can't least not for a reasonable price ( or I would have grizzlys) so I will stick with the type I have they haven't let me down and I can upgrade when eventually tha manufacturors start the treads like in 15s
