I have a 1995 Mitsubishi pajero with 31/10.50/15 bfg all terrains on at the mo. these aren't aggressive enough and cos I'm lifting the suspension 2" soon I thought I would go a little bigger. I am gonna change the rims to 9j16.
could somebody advise the best Tyre size to go on. I have been told 33/12.50/16 will be too big??? I am considering some greenway anacondas and they only do 2 sizes. 235/85/16 or 265/75/16 any help greatly appreciated.

235/85/16 should be 32" diameter (correct me if i am wrong!!) i assume 33's should fit but probably not 12.5 in wide on a 9" rim 235's 265's and 33/10.50/16 should fit (ps nice aggressive tyre anacondas!!!) hope i have helped

33x12.50R16's equates to 315/70R16's.They are around 85mm wider than your current fit, so two questions will they fit under in your wheel arches and will they catch on any of the suspension components. The answer to the first question is probably not (a friend has a Pajero on 7 inch rims and they only just go under the arches with 31x10.50R15's on) and i expect them to catch on the suspension somewhere.265/75R16's come out at just under 32 inches in diameter making them around 1.5 inches larger in diameter than your current fitment but around the same width as you have now. They will go on 7 inch rims so that will help.
