Really depends on the state of your fuel pipes. Veg is a bit cleaner than diesel so tends to clean all the crap out of the system into the fuel filter.

Having said that, I changed the fuel filter on mine after running 1000miles on veg, up to 100% at times, and there was no muck in it at all. This is on a Toyota LJ70.

As they say, YMMV Very Happy

Its Bio-Diesel that has the biggest cleaning effect - it works a solvent.

Veg oil only cleans because it is thicker and suspends more particles than Dino Diesel...

Running waste veg may require more filter changes, depending on how well it is filtered and if it has any remaining "whites" or fats in it that have dropped out...

I'm running a twin tank 200 Tdi, I use about 40 litres of WVO mixed with about another 20 litres of SVO per week(yeh lotta miles I know) I must admit i'm not very careful about settling my oil and pretty much use it straight away after filtering. Usually starts missing and playing up a bit after about two thousand miles or so.New filter sorts it and off to go again. They never seem to look very dirty when I look inside but definitely clogging as a new one sorts it straight away. I fitted a heated filter thinking this may prolong the elements as it would thin any whites a bit better but the filter's just clogged at about the same sort of mileage anyway. No worries, filters are cheap enough and the amount of money i'm saving on fuel makes it well worth the hassle.

I run 50/50 SVO and diesel. Changed my filter after 1000 miles and just do every 6000 now or six months, whichever comes 1st.
