Anybody ever fitted one to the 90 series or the 120 series Toyota's
Colorado's = 90 series
Land Cruiser = 120 series
I have heard that a 120 liter underslung tank can be got for the LC.
Any where in UK have them?

There is certainly one available for 80 and 100 series but these are more commonly used for long range travel and are US and Australian models I don't know if there is a tank available for the LC 120 or 90's but suggest you try Frog's Island or TBR as best bet. Otherwise contact ARB via their website ARB.com.au as they are very helpful. Possibly All-American Imports might be able to advise too: email sales@all-american.nl
Let us know how you get on.

Long Range Automotive in Oz do a 125 litre tank for 120 /125 series and have a dealer in France http://www.outback-import.com
Long Ranger tanks only use the same space as the existing tank by using the space more efficiently and you dont lose any ground clearance.

In the past I've found it's invariably cheaper to get one made!
There's a guy in Barnsley a mate of mine used to use regularly for Land Rover ones and there's a few locally to me so I imagine if you hunt around you could find someone locally to you.

I don't know how much room there is under the LC but it is a common mod to fit a LC tank in the space left after the underslung spare wheel and carrier have been removed from the Surfs. There are details on the Oz Surf site of how to do it, fab a bash plate and plumb in a changover valve. I'll find the link for you when I am on the home PC.

hi there,
Metal or ally ? bafells?
Did you have any re-routing of the exhaust or any other stuff.
Was it essentially an oblong tank mounted between the rear cross members, in the place where the spare could some times be mounted?
How did you go about filling it?
how did you go about drawing fuel from it?
Did you just have a balance pipe between the two of them?
thanks

We have been asked to make many underslung tanks for LC's, we make them in 2.5mm alloy with a 2.5mm thick extra skin. They tuck well out of the way and give around 100litres extra fuel capacity. We make an adapter that allows filling from the original filler cap.

Hi Andy,
I think you may have "had your wires crossed"
You sent me a reply back regarding the price of a chip upgrade !
maybe some one else who asked asked you for the chip upgrade, got the price of my underslung tank, and is also just as confused !
Graham
