i can answer your second question theres no such thing as a cheep mog at the moment even scrappers ar fetchin £2500 upwards so if you think thats cheep then it gives you an idea how much to pay for a good one

Glad I bought mine when I did - got it for scrap value, couldn't afford it now!
We get about 12mpg

jim you like dave may of paid scrap value but you have spent a lot of time and money getting them to the beasts you have now if you sit down and put a price on your time materials and parts you have got over the build you will get a shock how much your mog runs to
so payin 4500 upward for a running mog doesnt sound that exspensive now
and the minimog must be getting 40+ mpg but could you drive around when the top speed is only 30mph

a few years ago yu could get scrap moggs from £250 upwards, if yu wana search the scrap yards then do so, nowadays yu will be paying from £600 up to £2000 for scrap, and thats all they are scrap.
yu will be paying for the axle price thats all.
i got mine for £1000 that was around 4 yrs ago, at the time that was expensive for a runner, mine was actually advertised for £3000 but it was stripped for rebuild. the guy needed to move it quickly as house was sold and had to clear out,
jims i think was around £400 from a scrap yard, and donks was similar priced at around £500, they both needed major rebuild, i have scrapped better ones in the past,
if yu are serious about buying one then budget for around £2500 up to £3000 for a resonable one, thats a 404 standard petrol.
the 411s are rare i must admit same as 421 models, but in the end of the day its your decision
i can supply you with a working 421 which starts and drives thats all for around £3500
it would be easier buying a g,wagon for off roading, diff locks are fitted to them also
choose carefully and drive safely
dave

are u sure it was a u900 because they come with a 5.7lt diesel lump in they are a HUGE six cylinder engine and dont think the 200tdi will cut it with the bigger axels and the weight of the mog
