If you are using oil now then you can use WVO after it has been filtered Smile

Make sure you filter it well - it is time consuming and pain but if you can get enough it will be worth it

Firstly, what car and what engine?

I assume you're already using SVO (new oil)?

Methanol and Caustic soda are used for making Bio Diesel, Bio-Diesel and Veg oil are different things.

Something else that you need to bear in mind is the quality of the wvo. If the oil has alot of animal SPAM in it, it tends to be thicker and is also less tolerant in colder weather, thickening and gelling even more! Shocked

From our experience, wvo from chinese take-aways is poor, often rancid. :-& But yours, hopefully, may be better.

Aww gawd, I'll second the Rancid chinese oil..

I get 5 or 6 litres of good oil from a 20 litre drum..

the rest goes in the skip with the lid on TIGHT!
