I am considering running a 300 dti on a mix of diesel and veg oil.

Do the two need blending or mixing together or can I just tip some veg oil into the tank? Will a shot of Millers help?

Grateful for any advice.

Jojo

I just fill up with diesel then put in some veg oil, the drive home should mix it up ok

I have a zooozooo engine though i would imagine that it would be the same for a 300tdi

Let me know how you get on as a chap at work has a 300tdi disco and he wants to run a diesel/veg oil mix

jus chuck it in, iv been doing it for about a year now on my 300tdi and all is still good, i usualy buy 30 litres of diesel and put 20 litres in the tank and while im at the petrol station i fill a 20 litre jerry can with 10 litres of diesel and then add the 10 litres of veg to the jerry can when i get home and put the other 10 in the fuel tank, the jerry can sits in the back of the 90 for emergencies.

dont put too much in in the widdle of minter or you will have dificulties starting.

I chuck both in my Passat without any problems. It runs smoother if anything.

Don't kill that TDI -

DI Means Destruction Imminent when unmodified on Veg Laughing

Keep an eye on your sump oil and I would change it every 3000 miles...

25% Veg isn't a bad mix although petrol is much better at lowering viscosity.
