I'm going to try and return this (from a trials machine - when it didn't have bed sides and a tailgate) to a working vehcile. I've already removed the rollcage and fitted a hood. Still struggling to find canvas door tops though...

The fuel tanks and battery box are mounted on the bed, behind the cab so i want to move them back to the original positions. The spare is also attached top the bed so that's going back to under the cab. The battery box is knackered so I've bought a new one and an original locking tool box. I'm going to rub down the paint, straighten some of the panels and repaint her.

Next job will be to fit the pto. Anyone done this without removing the cab?!

I like the idea of a tipping bed but I don't have hydraulics so I'm either going to have to get hold of a pump, tank and a tipping ram or come up with another way of doing it... Confused

Cheers
iain

Good effort - it's nice to put them back as ma benz intended - we've made a lot of things mechanically stock where they were munged by a scrapyard owner, however, we're going for a kind of trail look.

hi iain
nice to see your mog going back to stock, l am going the other way
might make my own cab
looks like you have a nice barn to work in there
l have in the yard the back of a tipping transit complete with 12v pump and all the fittings, ready to bolt on
you can have it for free if you drive down and fetch it !
Smile you're not a soft northern poof are you Laughing Laughing
ha ha

seriously you can have it if you want it, but its probably cheaper to buy one up there than buy the fuel for a 8 hour drive or 24 in your mog, that might be stretching the agri tax a bit though

cheers for now

That's actually my new house. Yes, the Mog was parked in what will "soon" be my living room.

Thanks very much for your offer of the tipping bed but I think i'm going to do the soft Northern thing and decline gracefully Laughing

It's on the list of things to do but like yo usay, i'll try and find one a bit closer! My Mog came from Essex and it cost me a bleedin fortune getting it moved up here!

later
iain

Hi Iain,
I have several unrestored Laughing canvas doortops , some have "intact" canvas/perspex that you could work from. Lots of other bits n pieces incl snow chains. Pm me if you are interested in anything or want a pic or two of a door top

cheers
