has anyone got a link to a map of the locations of LPG retailers in the UK?
my web search hasn't found me anything that isn't linked solely to 1 manufacture and when I typed in a town, name requesting nearest outlets I got everything around but that town which has a pump! That was with that manufactures site.
As there are so many suppliers out there eg BP, Autogas etc its really confusing especially as I don't know the names of the companies.
All the searches ask me to name a location but I want to find out where pumps are so i know where to go, not if there are pumps where i am going.
it's a bit like holiday booking. ask for a quote and they want to know when you are going and how etc. What i want to know is when is it cheapest and by which means . The date will be decided after i know the prices. Agggh

http://www.lpga.co.uk/LPGA.htm Any use? Unfortunately it's not readily convertible to lat/long for GPS.

http://www.getlpg.org.uk/ uses the data from there to do its mapping unfortunately neither are up to date despite so called revisions, I've been to places that stopped selling gas over 12 months before - moral of this story, always ring first to confirm.

www.lpgmap.co.uk is another source of LPG location.
It's been going for years and has built up a community of users who contribute to the accuracy of the database. This makes it extremely reliable.
The site has partial data up at the moment (7th Nov, 2007), whilst an update on all the community posts is created and a brand new bang up to date database is created, so check back regularly during the next few weeks.

If you have a sat nav you can get a POI (points of interest) file to download to it - i have, and now anywhere i am in the country i can call up the nearest lpg station and get the sat nav to take me to it!! extremely usefull!
If you need the location of the files let me know and i will try to find them!

It's available for free on www.LPGmap.co.uk. Caters to a few different Sat Nav systems too.

I've just been to have a look at LPGmap.co.uk - there is a google map there but it does not appear to have any LPG data on it!
Or am I doing something wrong / not doing something I should be?
