mad max . no, as for practicality, the mogg must weigh about 3 ton all in, with a soft top and crappy screen, that cage is designed for a reason, beleave yu yuve not seen me off road it yet in the extreme stuff, well i say extreme i mean imposible for land rovers lol.
as much protection as poss for me please, thers buckets and harnesses inside too,
as for getting stuck av just spent £800 quid on agric tyres super traction,
megga in the sloopy stuff, simexes ??????? yeah eat yer heart out.
the side bars stop me bashing me wings again and also for sitting on,

And what are the agric tyres speed rated at? not much more than 30mph if your lucky is my guess. Still you have plenty of load area for carrying a second set of tyres.

most agric tyres are rated at 58kmh but they do some higher speed one for the likes of the jcb fasttrak
how fast do you drive off road Rolling Eyes i find it hard pushed to drive at 30mph on the road never mind offroad Laughing

me tyres are rated at 30mph yes thats true, and they where cheap at that, the fast road agric tyres would have been almost double that,
i have the tyres you see on it normaly duel purpose, my agric tyres get brought with me on trailer behind, depending on terain they get used, takes around 15mins to change them over though,
not that am bothered about that,
moggy is so bloomin slow anyway you wouldnt want to drive distance innit, and yes the tyres are road legal before yu ask

Now I've got an idea of what I wanna do with mine... What bore is the tube for the cage?? And do those agr tyres clear the body ok on full articulation?? They look a good bit bigger than standrad...

Nice, very nice!

naa those tryes fitted on the pick are standard nato 12.5x20 bar tready things, good on dry stuff but crap on the mud they are 40 inch tall
my agric one are 42 inch goodyear super traction, approx 2 inch in middle up to 4 inch tread at the sides,
on full axle travel they did catch on standard springs, because of the weight of the winch on the front i have put rear springs on the front, all i need now is a lift of a couple inches at the rear to match
happy mudding
dave

Sounds prety loud to me!! l tried to sort a day before , since having Jim here l am not so afraid of the dammage l thought they would create !!
ls it just the severe sections you want to try ?? , as l am sure you understand the small tight sections for zuks l dont want to spoil ,
Donk , do you have a winch capable of dragging strandard mogs out??
in fact we may have to drag a large branch out of one area first ,

What happens if it is not possible to rescue a mogg ??!! l dont want it left to rot !! can l then claim my site as EXTREME !! ??

I did mention to Jim about a MOGFEST he thought us too far north !! .
Off to consult the Diary !! J P .

Hi all (and especially JP!)

Yes, we'd love to come play - but could it be a weekend other than the 22nd??? We're holding our music festival that weekend.

Be great to see you all again, and I won't fit the crane this time!

catch you soon,

jim

Not got a winch on the mog AS YET, but I'm sure if Dave is going he'd lend a helping hand if i did get stuck. Rolling Eyes

As for clearing the area, I dont mind helping at all, after all the mosa are quite adept in that area.
