Hi all,
Do any of you know if a Disco 200 bumper fits a Disco 300. I am looking at a heavy duty bumper with fitted X9 winch from a 200.
Many thanks,
Ro

Hi Ro,

It should fit OK. I think, as far as aftermarket bumpers go, they don't differentiate between 200 & 300 series Discos. Range Rover Classic bumpers may also fit, but they don't wrap around at the ends to cover the gap to the wheelarch.

Cheers,

Steve.

Hi Ro,
absolutely no issue at all. Bumpers are identical, 300 only has a lower spoiler. The 200TDi rear bumper is far superior to the 300TDi. I think it was from a different supplier, as it fits more snugly, and is considerably stronger. For what it's worth.

The 200 & 300 chassis's are different and I think you'll find that the bumper brackets that fit into the chassis rails are in a different place.

Not so, Saint. Chassis's are the same. 300Tdi has brackets that bolt onto the front body mounts for the grille trim, but otherwise identical.

Think Hmm, interesting...

Let Syncro Ro fit one and lets us know.

When I got my front recovery points I was asked if I had a 200 or 300 because they were different in the fixings.

I DO know that the chassis part numbers are different from 200 to 300, so maybe it's something else.

Very Happy

Possible that the recovery points are different to allow for routing through the respective spoilers?

My ARB bullbar came off a 300Tdi, and bolted straight onto my 200Tdi (V8 actually, but you know what I mean Smile )

The spoilers have to be cut by hand for those points - anyway, drawing a line under this, this thread has proved interesting as I need a new front bumper for my 200, so It will give me a few more options to go for.

Hi all,

So it looks like the 200 bumper will fit the 300. I hope so as I have just bought it with winch off ebay. Anyway if it does not fit it will be up for grabs.
It should arrive next week so I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks for all the replies.

Ro

Ro, you can relax in the knowledge that it will fit. Please post pics once fitted - we'd like to see the 'new and improved' look...
