hey people!
im needing a few parts for some 404 axles an wondering if you knew where's good to get them from?
i need a set of handbrake cables an possibly some brake bits but don't know yet.
also does anyone know what the tyres are speed rated to? they are continental bar grip type tread? similar to simex jungle trecker.
thanks.

I think the tyres are rated to 56km/h or that might be mph
Tim Farley (straightforward on this forum) almost always has some spares, very helpful chap, give him a PM.

If you can speak german, or know someone who can, then ebay.de is your friend.
There's a chap called Manfred at Westfield 4x4 - he has an ebay shop. Good bloke to deal with.
There's also Andy at VK cars in belgium, but he sells a lot of vehicles and isn't always hot on bitty little parts.
I didn't know Tim sold proper spares, one to add to the databank. I've had a bit he cut off before, another nice chap.
As for the tyres, everyone seems to assume it's 50/55mph - I think the reason is that the german army fitted them and are pretty uptight about such things (which is why german 404's have air brakes and belgian/swiss ones don't). My MPT80's are rated to 55.

Sorry Jim, I dont think Tim officially has spares for Mog, but he seems to put discs onto all his axles and so has cylinders, drums, shoes spare most of time.
