Mine did it recently, horrible clonking noise going up & down. One of the nylon guide wheels on the regulator had sheared off. Means a new regulator unfortunately.

Two possibilities are Sunroof drain tube or AirCon drain blocked. I think they both exit through the bulkhead in the footwell area.

Try using a credit card (or similar plastic) in the gap top & bottom to release the clips. You may have to wriggle the cards a bit but it should come out fairly easily.

I have been told that the engines have now all been sold and some of them have now appeared on Ebay, although I haven't checked.

I work in a dealership near Peston. Our parts Dept. have told me that Landrover are having a clearout of V8's & LT77 gearboxes for V8's.

The engines are Low Compression 4.6 V8 - Part No. STC105 ...
