Might depend on the market? My old 1.6 didn't have them, and my current motor hasn't had them from new. And I've never seen them on a Niva over here. Would be a good idea to use them though!

Hoodoo - mine will be 51mm to first full coil of the spring from top of the retainer cone. Did you go more than this, and did you have any problems with panhard pulling diff to one side?

re bumper bar... extend the chassis rails with ange iron then weld a lump of RHS to them. Works great - I've seen this done. Good place to attach recovery hooks too.

measured my existing spring rubbers - the ebay ones are
fronts +13mm higher (so about a 1" lift).
rears + 18mm (so 3/4" lift).

so these are not really worthwile.

Here is the response from the vendor on ebay. My over all height on the stock rings was 30mm with a 15mm land. So I think that this lift is not as high as the hoodo2 with 25mm rings under the stock ...
