Welded mine in the auto vit and love it but its for offroad use only i wouldent recomend it if its a road going car get an lsd or switchable locker some use lock rights but they take some getting used ...

Your in the right place look up t-case swap to a 231 or if your feeling flush look up atlas t-case for the ultimate upgrade if you go the cheep route might aswell put the slip yoke eliminator

On the drive shafts are they c/v type or the uj type check the joints for wear or being siezed
Also as yours is permanent 4wd you will get a little due to it having a viscose coupling in the t case ...

Id second the virtual lift using landrover arches will give plenty of room for 31 or with a 2"lift room for 33's if done properly
