Only major difference is the Fedima have the lugs on the sidewalls of the tyres..

Didn't grand Vitara come with 16s? Daihatsu Fourtrak wheels fit aswell... Not sue about widths and offsets of eithe ...

My 285/75r16 insa and fedima together - both same height. Yes i have lifted the truck weight off the insa for fair comparison. Both measure in at 34" tall. Never thought to measure them before.. ...

Yeah and with problems with the feed you wouldn't expect to have fuel run out of line to pump when disconnected either...cant hurt to test everything though. Keep us posted.

and it runs fine with a temporary tank gravity feeding straight into carb?

How about testing with same temporary tank feeding in to pump to see if it may be an issue with feed from tank / tank brea ...
