I've ordered plugs leads dizzy cap and coil as it's been stood for a while so I'll do that out of principle and see what happens. I've checked all earths too with no avail.

I do agree with what your are saying; I know they aren't the strongest axles going but equally they are cheap and lower geared than I originally had in the sj axles, would make it slightly wider too w ... | |

i had the same issue when building an 85" trialler.
I just lowered the back end of the gearbox 1.5 inches, runs fine at the moment and has done for 2 seasons of trialling |

What you want is a rear land rover axle and a front lr axle, cut the swivel ends off the front axle then sleve and weld them to the rear casing.
(OBV once youve cut a considerable ammount off) |

As said above ther are only 4 or 5 wires needed to get it going then you've just got to trace wires back for oil pressure/charge circuit etc. My engine is out of a '96 disco and the colours are differ ... | |

She's now got a roof, seats and complete dash.
Harness' are waiting to go in. We've then got to fit all the front panels, doors, fans and cover the rear tub and then it will be near enough done ... |

never herd of welding the front diff up
trialers have been doing it for yeaaaaaaaaarrrrrrs Yes but most triallers have got fiddles that they can steer it with. dont think this zuk has? |
