I think he means the standard landrover screw type jack similar to the hi lift that takes about 10 mins to lift anything!

Do you mean the main wheel bearing inner race is on the stub axle? If you do then it should still be inside the hub and the hub seal should keep it in... For the price I would replace the wheel bearin ...

I think you would wire in the stop solenoid wire into it instead of ignition coil.

Yeah I second the stronger CV remark and also they had stronger halfshafts that are less likely to strip the splines.

DD I would rebuild your existing axle and after that you shouldnt need to touch ...
