Let the oil drain out if you can leave it that long then drill it out with a lefty drill bit then you can get the old tap an die set out an appropriate plug shouldn't be too much at a local fasteners ...

Re: recovery of the vehicle/trailer a hgv recovery truck could do it and suspend tow the driving veh and tow the trailer still attached see this on a daily basis on the road

HD drive line ie shafts locker ect then some bigger wheels/tyres to give yourself a bit more ground clearance an maybe a little suspension lift
