In Warwickshire myself - there is a good run from Liecester to Rugby that was in total off road mag a year or two ago - I have done it several times now.

Thanks for the roadsure - now called premiumchoice. Most companies go by the plate on the vehicle which shows 4.4 tonnes not the actual weight - which would be a lot less.

I love my 404 and tow a trailer with it which I am gonna convert to living. Thought about getting a box to go on the back - but the ability to detach the living at the mo is much more practicle.

The GRP part of the trailer was manufactured by the army. All the history I have (by word of mouth from previous owners) is that it was in service in Northern Ireland in the 70's but was unsure of it ...

Is that an Arrows trailer that your towing behind your UNIMOG? If so do they have overrun brakes? What are the dimensions of the load bed?

I see that your using Michelin XL tyres do ...

I am the proud owner of a 404s for over a year now - and I have a few problems that I will be working on (or at least my local garage will!).

Firstly the engine has never really fired ...
