Morning everyone is anyone going to Avon Dassett Quarry tomorrow 28th June for the Future4x4 pay and play day?

Just read this post about the oils in a TD5, ive got a chipped td5 auto can you recomend a good oil for the auto box as mine seams abit like it slipping.

those split ones look intresting would make the changing of half shafts easyer.

A few years ago i bought some heavy duty rear wheel bearing retaining plates on eblag but cant seem to find the guy or anyone who has some for sale now. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I did run 33x12.5x15 for about 2 years and yes i did move the axial farward at the front.

I now run 35x10.5x16 and they are great!!

I used copper grease on mine for about 3-4 years only replaced the bushes once in that hole time. Had no creaks during that time and the grease does stay where you put it.

Is it posible to get more power and better bhp out of the engine without spending money ie like on landys turning the diapham on the injector pump.

This might be a stupid question but what presure are you runing in the tyres? I had 33x12.5x15 on my samurai and ran them at 35psi and they were fine but any lower psi and they where bad.

The 35" silverstones measure on a 8.5" wide rim 34" and yes the 33" measure at 31.5" on a 8" rim.

I had 33x12.5x15 Bronco grizzlys on my samurai. 8" wide rims with wheel spacers. Very good at a dry quarry but found in sticky mud they just made me slide every where. I have a little more weight ...

The axials are samurai with a Kam locker in rear and just the cover on the front as when you brake a half shaft in the diff and cant get the diff out you can just take the cover off and get at the bro ...

Its been a long wait but finally got my new wheels and tyres on tonight and very happy with them.

You can get replacement felt seals and oil seals from the main stealer.
I got some a few months ago and solved my problems.

Always a good idea to remove all rust off the swivel housing before fitt ...

To be honest i cant remember but best to give them a ring on 02476683239 and ask them.

They back light the switchs so you can see where they are and what they do.
