Not sure what they're like for sj parts but no harm in trying, I know you mentioned.new parts but I think you'll struggle to get them without donating limbs.

Did mime on the drive in about 3 hours. Plan ahead if you have never carried out any such work, perhaps get a manual. You'll only need basic tools.

I wouldnt know where to start with 1600 16v, but I can't see any reason why you can't just change the engine and keep the ecu and electrics the same, I could be wrong, but I would say defo change bloc ...

Buy whatever is cheapest. They all have to conform to a standard, and I doubt for that price that they'll be any better than your bog standard pads and discs.

quick suggestion, give the wheel a wobble and have someone apply the brakes, if the wobble goes then it a wheel bearing, if still there its the kingpin, if a little bit better then its both.

bit late in adding a comment but sounds like your maf sensors packed up, disconnect it, and see if it drives a bit better.
