I did have a round lamp grille, I had a whole truck for spares, I was gonna do this mod but it was a lot of work, the fronts are pretty different.

Just done a Lad and Dad project a 80s Yamaha scooter rescued from a leaky shed, has any one got a field etc I could show my 15 year old how to ride on? Its not noisy or fast

Its usually a silencer/muffler - cuts down on resonant noise.
Sometimes contains a spark arrester.

It'll be fine with it removed.

imo only buy a ground anchor if you really have a use for one, ie a competition, lots of self recovery winching or lone forestry work...

Nothing wrong with TIM gauges.

Are they not working properly or not working at all?

is there a load sensing valve above the rear axle?
these sometimes have a bleed nipple on them, check the valve isn't seized also.

I believe it is still an offence in the UK to ride a pushbike that doesn't have Mudguards.
And it must wear a rear red reflector.

Fit a NEW fuel filter.

Have you cleaned the fuel sediment trap?

Check the wire connection onto the fuel cutoff solenoid.

Unmodified? Your mileage may vary.

You need either a Bosch or SIMMS Inline or a Bosch or Nippon Rotary type IP or similar.

Common Rail, Lucas Pumps or Standyne rotaries etc are not suitable.
