well that stuffed it, the alternator has been sold.
any advise on if a unit from a different model will fit the fixings? seen a few with prefix 31400 but with different end numbers. cheers |

The blocks it sits on is covered slightly where it pushes into the rubbers, so measuring the blocks themselves isnt giving the correct size as i cannot see both ends of it, if that makes sense?

Try starting it with a wire going directly from the battery +ve terminal to the small connector on the starter.

Sunday is the last day for me, as the MOT is due Monday, and work gets in the way of Fridays.

when my alternator packed up, it turned out to be the brushes, they were stuck in, and also very worn.
