There certainly has been a decline in build quality and service since the Renault tie up, lets hope Nissan don't use too much plastic on the engines that seems to self destruct either.

Well it either the swivel or the CV, have you got an old swivel to see if the CV fits, if it does then it's the swivel, vice versa does the old CV fit new swivel?.

Can't see that upgraded discs on the back would make that much difference, a mate runs a 5.1 V8 in his, that runs perfectly fine with OEM brake fitment, other than a front pad change.

If the noise came after the transfer box fitting it has to be the box. You could check the diff oil level and the colour of the oil, and check the condition of the UJ's and give them a greasing to see ...
