From what i can tell, the bell housing and engines are all interchangable, and it's only the gear ratio that changes for the petrol models and potentially the non-turbo models.

I read about an equivalent imperial to the 255 but also that it might not fit without mods and /or I can't find it in the insa range, limiting me to pricey (although probably better) Cooper o ...

My 1996 TDX has 255/70/R15 Road tyres currently. Looking to fit MT tyres as the farm ground is starting to get a little ropey now.
